Will the spurs win the 2007 nba title?

w/o nazr mohammed w/o a true center but ginobili and parker ready to make up for a bad post-season and a trade for brent barry up for grabs for an athletic swingman

Will the spurs win the 2007 nba title?soccer

no way

Will the spurs win the 2007 nba title?celtics ,nba teams

Just NJ Nets
they'll still be contenders but they should have a hard time dealing with dallas and phoenix... that's because the spurs didnt improve their roster and even lost 2 quality bigs in rasho and nazr mohamed... the mavs, meanwhile, got croshere who'll fit in nicely backing up nowitzki and also maurice ager who can be the steal in this year's draft... the suns will get back amare which will only make them tougher...
I don't think so unless Duncan can be dominant again. He looked old and tired last season and his points per game was the lowest of his career. I think the Spurs need to cut ties with Robert Horry and get a younger power forward to compliment Duncan. If Amare Stoudamire comes back healthy, I would give the nod to the Suns next year. They made the Conference finals without him and will get over the top with him healthy again.
Nope, Miami is too strong right now.... Detroit is finished with you Ben Wallace, Lakers wont be anything unless they get Garnett or Bosh. Mavs need a better pg and a better sg to win a champ.

Look out for the Suns and Bulls this 2007 season finals!
I don't think so with Michael Finley on the team
Duncan's feet problems and the return of Amare Stoudemire will make it hard for the Spurs to get out of the West. So, I won't count on it, but you can never totally count out the Spurs if Duncan is healthy.
The Spurs are always in contention. It all comes down to how they play in the post-season. They get hot, they win.
off course they will Parker and Ginobili now know they have to step up their performance in the post season and Duncan just needs to do what he's been doing our only problem is who will be our center
No. The Miami Heat will. The Spurs are a great team and have been for quite a few years now. But, the Heat, and especially Dwayne Wade are the future. Bank on it. He is not Jordan, but, as many have said, is the only one who comes close in todays NBA. Sorry Koby. Get a little less selfish, and with your skills, maybe we can talk.
I think the Miami Heat will repeat its title conquest versus Spurs in the NBA Finals.
i think they have a good chance like every year. but yeah they really need more athleticism because duncans getting old. they looked really slow against the mavs.

What about this trade of KG to New Jersey?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr... New Jersey gets the big man scoring threat they need and Minnesota gets as good player they can keep for 4 years and get an expiring contract of Nachbar and a contract that will expire in 2 years on Collins.

What about this trade of KG to New Jersey?hockey

No way. If the Wolves are gonna trade KG, they have to get something back. RJ is not a franchise player, and is actually too old to be of use to the Wolves in a rebuilding process. They need youth! Good youth!

What about this trade of KG to New Jersey?nba street v3 ,nba teams

Never going to happen. The owner refuses to get ride of KG.
Those three are not even worth it. Minnesota doesn't get jack.
That wouldnt be a bad trade, if i would throw in a draft pick
KG is staying with Minnesota.

How about this trade..?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

Cleveland has 15 players and arent loosing too much.

New Jersey gets Gasol and some other serviceable players.

Memphis, in addition to this, gets New Jersey's lottery pick and Cleveland's mid first round pick. That means they should get like the 2nd, 10th, and 21st picks in the draft. By the time players like Hughes and Stoudimire's contracts run out, they will have enough money to sign a big time free agent.

How about this trade..?nba finals 2007

the nets just got shiited on. gasol is a good player, but newble and snow suck. kidd will do well with lebron, and memphis got some good players. gibson is starting to blossom

How about this trade..?www.nba.com ,nba teams

no memphis needs to keep gasol all they need is some better role players to help pau and rudy
okay trade I guess
no

What do you guys think about this Jason Kidd Trade to the SPURS?

When the deal with the Mavericks fails completley, the Spurs are going to make a sudden bid for Kidd with all that Greg Popovich crying like a baby thing going on dont in Texas.

- Call me the NBA's Nostraudamus when this deal or a similar deal comes through in the next 3-4 days.....

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

What do you guys think about this Jason Kidd Trade to the SPURS?nba odds

That trade you propose is the dumbest thing ever. Barry, Parker, and Finley for Kidd? I don't think so, while it works on the Trade Machine, it logically, will never happen.

The Spurs don't have any interest in Kidd, and for good reason. They don't need him at all.

What do you guys think about this Jason Kidd Trade to the SPURS?nba statistics ,nba teams

Nope... Kidd is coming to the Mavs!!! 2008 Champions!!!!
And who are the Spurs going to give up? The Mavs nearly gave up their whole roster for Kidd.
That's a pretty good trade
First off hes going to the spurs.perhaps the best deal for kidd, going back to finish what he started in dallas. Its great for the mavs because they get that short term run they need to go to the finals. but lose to the celtics
You will never see Jason Kidd at San Antonio. I think that would be the dumbest idea ever. That would probably force Tony Parker out and that would suck for Spurs fans.
I heard Lebron is being traded to the Spurs tooooooo.
its a waste they already have playmakers
no! TP wont get traded. NONONONO! He is a yougn man in this roster, he will not be traded to get a old Jason Kidd. NO!~ Gregg is to smart for this dumb move, Spurs won it without Kidd, and will do it again without Kidd.
your a fool !! tanx for the 2 points fool!!
DO NOT GIVE UP TONY PARKER!!! He is a young guy with more future than Kidd. Kidd is a quick fix
your question so funny.... thats not gonna happen!
i think that the nets have made a big mistake because with Kidd gone, they will be low on getting the ball down court and letting every one get the ball... BIG MISTAKE.. lets see what happens

HOW ABOUT THIS TRADe...?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

HOW ABOUT THIS TRADe...?football

wont trade not roy. so no.

HOW ABOUT THIS TRADe...?lakers ,nba teams

that would never happen. the suns wouldn't want to take on lafenz's contract and the trail blazers are NOT going to give up roy
I am sorry but after CP3 and Lebron Brandon Roy is the future of the NBA. Also Portland doesn't need a center because they go 2 young ones in LaMarcus Alridge and Greg Oden. Also there would be no room in phoenix for roy because they got raja bell, grant hill, barbosa and more competing for the shooting guard position.
I'm not sure why either team would do that deal: The Suns already have a point guard in Steve Nash and why would you get rid of size in Amare- especially being in the West where you have to face: Nowitzki (Dal), Boozer (Utah), Gasol/Bynum (Lal), ... Plus the Blazers have Oden and Alridge so you don't need another big-man inside. Brandon Roy is a heck of a point guard and the Blazers just wouldn't do that. On top of that i doubt Phoenix would want to take on Raef's contract. Overall a no-make sense deal that really would change the dynamic of each team.

Nickster
amare is better then roy at this moment, and i dont see why you would want him anyway when you have a younger cheaper guy in aldrige who is getting the job done. i honestly can't see how this helps the suns anyway. amere is still young, and he will be playing like he did a couple years ago. he is still recovering. and we all know how good amare was. only a fool would give him up

and the blazers would be fools to give up roy too. this team is like a puzzle where all the peaces fit. when they get oden back, i see him bringing defense better then amare
not happening. They would only be willing to take on Lafrentz's contract if it ran out after this season.
stoudemire is 2years older(and portland wants to keep it young) and roy is a great leader...and portland has oden, aldridge and frye...they dont need amare
The idea of getting Stoudamire is good but why in the world would you give up Brandon Roy? He's the present and future of your franchise. He's an all-star and a future MVP. Giving up Roy would be a bad move.
worst trade ever...stoudemire is the most overrated player in the league. ill ask a question; what does that bum do well? all of his scoring is completely generated by nash, he has lost most of his athleticism after his surgery, he cant shoot consistently, he doesnt defend and he doesnt rebound. roy is a good scorer, leader, defender, and playmaker.roy is twice the player stoudemire is, not to mention portland doesnt need another big man

p.s. travis outlaw is going to be very very good. just thought i would mention that while talking about portland

Who you like this trade?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

It doesn't look like a good trade for any of the 4 teams, but I guess the Nuggets and Timberwolves get the better players for the short term. That trade doesn't even make sense for the Knicks.

if i were the denver nuggets, yes!

A blockbuster 3-Team Trade Thats Fair?Knicks,Kings and Celtic fans. What do you think??

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

Kings recieve:

Kendrick Perkins

Eddie House

Scot Pollard

Cash from both teams

Future Pick(s)from NY Knicks

NY Knicks recieve:

Ron Artest

Brian Scalabrine

Boston Celtics recieve:

Eddy Curry

Kings recieve more depth, cash and future picks. This will open up P.T for Salmons and Garcia who have played very well.

Knicks recieve Artest a player they really want and wants them.

Celtics recieve a more dominant big man presence.

A blockbuster 3-Team Trade Thats Fair?Knicks,Kings and Celtic fans. What do you think??nba draft prospects

And WHY would the celtics do this??? They have the best record right now. they arent going to trade for a player can f*ck the chemistry up! and they give their bench up

A blockbuster 3-Team Trade Thats Fair?Knicks,Kings and Celtic fans. What do you think??nba 2k ,nba teams

I think so......Isiah and Artest?

Perfect match, wouldn't you say?
Celtics get stronger offensively a little bit but 10 times weaker defensively through that trade

Also who is gonna be the backup to Rajon Rondo? did you ever think about that? lol
As a Celtics fan, Eddie Curry is a girl. No thanks.

Check out this trade?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

this is just what the bucks need

Check out this trade?nba game

I like the fact that the Kings get Villanueva but I doubt the Bucks would want Ron Artest but they might if they dont get Yia Jinlin

Check out this trade?lebron james ,nba teams

LOL they wanted a Chinaman Now they got a Brawler and a Wife-beater, Now Milwaukee repetition is Ruined now.
man your great! thats a great trade
I agree
Thats a good trade, but if you put Yi in, that trade would probably work in the NBA because Yi wants to go and the Kings wanted Yi
Take it from a Sac-fan...Artest is most likely not going to be traded to Milwaukee for those three (unless they are good rebounders). Artest is the only defense that the Kings have.
Good trade but kings will not accept
I think it is a good trade because the bucks do need another scorer , and Artest does average just under nineteen a game

Fair and Good Trade?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

Fair and Good Trade?nba sports

No, I don't think it is.

The problem with this is you severely weaken Golden State's frontcourt depth with this deal. If they did this they would end up with KG as your only veteran frontcourt guy with two rookies as the only other forwards in Brandan Wright and Stephane Lasme. This forces the Warriors to play KG at center instead of PF where he prefers to play.

With the Wolves' current makeup I don't know that they have any real interest in Al Harrington when they just picked up Corey Brewer in the draft. I would assume they like Craig Smith more than Foyle and as was already mentioned O'Bryant is close to being a bust and reports out of the summer leagues were that he looked like he really wasn't trying and looked lost out on the floor.

Biedrins would probably be the only player the Wolves' would have any real interest in and that is just not enough for a guy like KG.

Fair and Good Trade?basketball players ,nba teams

it is a very good trade Report It

hey man, im a warrior fan and this is just straight robbery by mullin. foyle sucks, POB is on the verge of being a bust, the only real pieces here are harrington and biedrins. and those two arent even enough to get KG. id love for it to happen but it will never go through.
What you're offering is crap to Minnesota and they would just laugh seeing that trade. Offer Biedrens, Monta Ellis, Harrington and Foyle then maybe they'd take a look at that. You're trade is just straight up one-sided and just robbing Minnesota.
If your Goldenstate take it Baron and KG.
golden states gotta team now.........i can see them winning next year
lol timberwolves are losing out
I'm a Warriors fan and I absolutely love this trade!!!!!!!
no

1. t-wolves don't want 4 more pricy big men

2. KG is bigger value

Should Portland Make this trade for a center?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

Should Portland Make this trade for a center?

yes, i agree. the blazers should make that trade since they made the mistake of picking Sam Bowie 2.0

Should Portland Make this trade for a center?nba live 2006 ,nba teams

No. This trade benefits no one and takes away two soon-to-be-great players from Charlotte.
Yes. Here is mines http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...
It looks great for the Blazers, but why would Phoenix trade

Stoudamire or Charlotte trade Okafor?
are you crazy ? they already have an injured big man and you are bringing another one?!!!!!!

besides I'd rather have a webster than having morrison on my team
charlotte- never do this. trade away their future stars in morrison and okafor.

portland- winner giving away overpaid przbilla.

the other trade.

again portland is the only winner on this trade.

phx gets a lousy overpaid lafrentz.

san antonio - good but not best.

portland - another winner in this trade.
For outlaw J, your trade is very much lopsided. Why trade Amare for 2 idks. As for you asker, Bobcats wouldn't do that.
bobcats get ripped off

Kobe-bulls again (trade)?

i was board what you think

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

Kobe-bulls again (trade)?nba trade

I think Kobe is over paid and I think

KOBE SUCKS!!!!!

Kobe-bulls again (trade)?nba season ,nba teams

Besides the fact that the bulls are not going to trade with the lakers. The trade you have come up with is ridiculous. 5 guards for one guard. The bulls would only have kobe as their guard. and the lakers would have 8/9 guards. bulls would rather give up tyrus thomas than sefelosha . As a bulls fan i would easily give away TT instead of sefalosha. Sefa can D up. I would be happy to give away duhon, but its probably not likely that the lakers would want him. Kobe probably would not like to play with fellow ball handlers like Kirk, sefelosha could stay because he can play the point while kobe plays the 2 guard and handles the ball.
Trade talks are dead with the Bulls.....for now.

Wud this be a good trade for kobe? wud this be good for N.O.?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

Wud this be a good trade for kobe? wud this be good for N.O.?nba playoff

I would do it actually as a laker fan, chris is still oung and giving up bynum is acceptable, but a 1st round pick would have been nice to include along with chris.

Kwame

LO

Luke

Kobe

Chris Paul

Third round exit

For hornets, they'll rebuild with bynum, 5 years they'll be champs

Wud this be a good trade for kobe? wud this be good for N.O.?nba stats ,nba teams

You must be a complete moron the Hornets would laugh at that trade. No one on this earth would take that trade. Get a life anyways Kobe has his man Fisher back so he'll be a good girl for a few minutes. Report It

But he won't be a Laker for long. Report It

I'd rather have this....why do the hornets need to rebuild...the lakers do !

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/f... Report It

NO is still not that desparate to part ways with paul.
that would be great for Kobe
i would've loved that trade last year, but this year its just plain too late. rite now, the lakers have fisher, farmar, and javaris crittenton. that's already three point guards, they don't need another one.
ya it would b a good trade for kobe as a player gone , while Chris Paul has budding talent, would help the N.O

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS TRADE WOULD WORK OUT! unbelievable must see!?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

ok im not a nuggets fan and was just toying around but can you believe this would be possible! Not that anyone other than denver would do this but you now got this starting 5:

pg= AI

sg= Micheal Redd

C= Marcus Camby

sf= Carmelo Anthony

pf= Emeka Okafor

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS TRADE WOULD WORK OUT! unbelievable must see!?lakers

Last time I checked, Redd is going in the direction of being an all-star, and Okafor is young and talented averaging a double-double!

As of Reggie Evans, bearly heard of who he is...

This is unbelievable and would never work out. There's no way Bobcats would trade Okafor, or for the Bucks to trade their star Redd.

Okay, but if this would work, then that would be the most insane trade I've ever heard of.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS TRADE WOULD WORK OUT! unbelievable must see!?nba merchandise ,nba teams

maybe there still not gonna win a championship eaither way but emecka okafor is still young and cant compete with the other players um he came from the bobcats were they were acpeted to lose now he is on the nuggets were they might have a chance at winning a game and if u ask me witch u did he is not ready 4 it
There's no way the Bucks would give up Michael Redd for K-Mart! The Bobcats wouldn't trade Okafor either.
When it comes to trades, you can't just take 2 players you would want on your team and give up cripples like Martin who is drastically over-paid. I mean technically this trade would work, but that doesn't matter.
wow yeah the nuggets would be dominant if that trade ever happened. too bad it's not going to. Nuggets would probably even beat the Spurs with that lineup.
thats crazy
If that trade happened, I'd kill myself......or stop watching the NBA.
NO
hell NO that will never work. emeka okafor is going nowhere (Charlotte trying to sign him for a contract extension). do u really think they would trade him only to get Reggie Evens?! hahahaha

and for the bucks, they would not trade Redd because he is their star player.
Like you said nobody except Denver would do that trade!

U GOTTA SEE THIS TRADE MAN!!!!!!?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

U GOTTA SEE THIS TRADE MAN!!!!!!?nfl

nice kings get nothing thats what i like lakers get better and pacers get better

U GOTTA SEE THIS TRADE MAN!!!!!!?nba power rankings ,nba teams

Good deal for the Pacers, Great deal for the Lakers!! But the Kings give up a touchy All-star for a couple of role players.
artest is good why give him up for crap players
yeah.......NO
Nope not gonna happen only lakers get the best part of it!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Artest will NEVER play for Indiana EVER again.
artest will never go back to indiana
no
the kings would be getting nothing in return for ron artest and why would the indiana pacers want artest back. the lakers wouldnt make that trade either considering they wouldnt give up bynum to get Kevin Garnett.

Do you think this trade could ever happen?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

I know its crazy, but just wondering...

Do you think this trade could ever happen?celtics

The Knicks really suck right now

Do you think this trade could ever happen?nba ballers phenom ,nba teams

Stupidest trade idea ever. Honestly there was no point in asking. Cleveland wouldn't even get anyone good. Iguodala is terrible.
lebron is untradable. Even if you offered garnett, pierce, allen for lebron the cavs would turn it down
never ever. Cleveland will never ever give up lebron. he will retire a cav if he wants to stay. Philly arent giving up iggy for zach randolph.
Plz god no!!! Lebron for those losers?! that's heresy I tells ya!! Wow that would be the WORST TRADE EVER!
NEVER it would ruin everything Cleveland has been building on. Everyone loves LeBron hes not going anywhere.
It would never happen. Ever.

Actually, maybe not ever. If humans perfect the cloning technology... and James was cloned into two people and both were with the Cavs... then it could happen. They wouldn't need both, so trading one for Iguodala and the other Sixers would be fine.

But of course, that would just be a waste of cloning, and I'm sure it could be put to better use. =)
yes there is always a possibility

Did the Celtics trade too much to get Garnett?

When their starting point guard who cant shoot is their 4th best player it has me thinking can they win the NBA title if either pierce, garnett, or ray allen is in foul trouble, struggles in a post season series, or is injured for couple games in the series.

Did the Celtics trade too much to get Garnett?nba mvp

i think Boston made a good trade because when they acquired ray Allen on draft night they made it clear that they are going for present then future. Now they get garnett who is the best PF in the NBA although they gave up future talent in Jefferson and green they got garnett. Now if you look in Boston idea some free agents like Chris webber who like to win a championship may sign with Celtics and at the PG spot they are veteran free agents like Brevin Knight, Dee Brown, and Gary Payton who might help rajon rondo. i think in finally Chris webber signs with Boston and if he signs the line up is going to be:

Did the Celtics trade too much to get Garnett?nba trades ,nba teams

a little too much
They did trade quite a lot to get him, especially Gerald Green, he has definitely improved the last couple of years, and its gonna hit the Celtics next year with some draft picks being involved as well. They would be a lot better if they had somebody like Bruce Bowen- just somebody that could shut a offensive player down and shoot a high percentage from 3 pt. range.
From a players / talent stand point more than likely. I like KG but 7 players for one is a bit much. Add in the cap issues it brings and it makes it worse when the other two stars have injury histories. But from a marketing stand point it was worth it. People are talking about and showing an interest in the Celtics. After being so bad for so long they needed to make a splash.
i dont think that they did i mean none of those players had nearly as much experence as kg did even if kg is getting old but the celtics needed some talent which is exactly what kg has. the celtics have what they had years ago with the big 3 and now kevin garrnet, paul pierce, and ray allen will win the championship soon
i think so. boston gave up an awful lot for KG. basically 7 players if you include the 2 1st rounders in 09. the wolves will suck for a little but in 3 years or so, watch out, they have a lot of good young talent. some say jefferson will be a 20/10 guy in 2-3 years. green and gomes are super talented and have tons of potential. and who knows what players will be in the 09 draft. the trade leaves boston with no bench and no depth whatsoever. but maybe they wont need it. all in all, i think it was a good move by both teams. wolves were rebuilding and werent winning with KG anyway. while the celtics and pierce wanted to win now.
They traded for front page relevance, competing with the likes of the Red Sox and the Patriots. Even if they dont win the title or even make it to the Eastern Conference championship, they're back in the forefront. KG creates buzz in Beantown and buzz sells tickets, merchandise and revenue increases across the board.
KG is priceless man. So no they didnt. i Miss KG in MN
The Celtics may have given up many players for this trade but Garnett is amazing. Look at the Wolves now, they're not going to get anywhere. Having 3 all stars and 3 future hall of famers makes a big difference.
No they gave up only one potential star in jefferson, green won't be a star he has deshawn stevenson 5 years ago written all over him. 2 picks, one which was the wolves to begin with because of the davis/sczerbiak trade and the other is lottery protected. Telfair who was done in boston anyway. Gomes a solid role player and ratliff who will help them more next summer when his contracts up and they can use his money to sign free agents.
I really liked Boston as a younger team. And I liked watching Gearald Green and Big Al improving. But its not a total loss cuz we got one of the best PF in the NBA!
you know, I live in New England and for years, all 3 Boston major league teams have been very stingy, right? Suddenly, this year, all three teams go out and spend big bucks for major talent. Makes me think there was a "meeting of the minds" in Boston. Like maybe politicians and the movers and shakers up there have a Master Plan for the City. Anyway, no, I don't think they traded too much because they traded the future for the present. Who among us may not be alive to see the Celtics come to fruition 3 or 4 years from now???
Time will tell...

We have to see how the Pierce, Allen, KG combo works out. It takes not only talent but chemistry to make a winning team. There is potential for ego problems with 3 genuine stars!

Remember the Malone/Payton enhanced Laker's couldn't even bring them a title.

Are you kidding!? Two really solid big men for four scrubs!? Chandler is a beast on the boards and in the paint for blocked shots, and West is a up-and-coming young scoring PF. Wright is gonna be a solid bench player, Doleac and Walker are done and are just taking up cap room, and Haslem is the only worth anything and all he can do is rebound. It would be a heck of a trade for the Heat.
its a bad one for Miami cuz udonis haslem is veryy good and so is Antoine walker. Tyson Chandler is not that good and west is pretty bad!

Worst trade in NBA hostory.
What a horrible trade for Chicago. They basically send their best players for one, old former star.
uhhh no.
Bulss Loose! Bulls loose! Bulls Loose!
thats never gonna happen...sorry pal
Bulls mind as well trade their whole team away to the Suns for and old Shaq....
you should send Ben too
you've gone off the deep end. the bulls said they wouldn't even trade deng for kobe due to age, what the heck makes you think they would trade all that for an injured and old shaq? did you think about this before posting it?
Don't count Shaq out yet people.

Bad trade for both.
Why would Chicago do it?
that trade is good for the Suns but bad for the bulls. neways shaq is not that good. also ben is better then shaq.
worst trade offer I have seen in a long time...absolutely no reason Chicago would do that

Helps the Lakers get the big man for Kobe and Knicks dump salary and Rockets get a bigman and young player in return
its pretty good dude....but i personally would keep bynum....lakers gave up way to much for slow *** yao!
No Deal! I keep Andrew Bynum is younger man and develop play in future. He improved this season and scored 20 points last Sunday against Warriors. He will be best player for Lakers in future. He will be BETTER THAN SHAQ!!!! He will should taller over 7'5 height await grow taller and taller. I believe his average points 30 pts, 16 rebounds, and 5 blocks in 2011-12 season. Not trade him pls keep him for Lakers.

Okay, if he will not be improved, should trade about next 2-3 years await. Wait to see him play.

I'm Laker fan since I was 12 years old.
The only team that helps is the Lakers.
Lakers would ******* be best if this trade happens. Just simply Kobe/Yao would outshine the Big Three in Boston. And this trade also doesn't give **** to Knicks except a solid young porcept in Byume, but he won't develope better than Yao, so it's not really a loss for the Lakers. But it's a shame this will never happen, because Houston will never let Yao walk, he brings them too much tickets, they would rather trade T-mac than Yao. Just like T-mac said "this is Yao's team"
Dumb trade

another LA fan huh?
the only team benefitting is the Lakers. the Rockets would never trade Yao (not unless they get Dwight Howard or LeBron, that's the only possible value I see in return). He's too talented (a little soft on defense tho) and McGrady needs him as a second scoring option.

The Knicks don't need Kwame Brown or Bynum or whoever the hell that white guy is. And even tho I think Randolph is totally overrated, we're not trying to give him up for those guys and David Lee is a great role player who desperately in need of a Jason Kidd-type point guard.
No way.
How about NO!:)
Laker fans would like it if Houston was that retarted.
Why in the world would the Rockets want to take on Zach Randolph who can't pass, can't play defense , and it an utter black hole/turnover PF? Then take on a guy who can't shoot outside of 5 feet?

For perhaps the best shooting big man in the league?

The knicks would take the trade, give them cap space and a good young center.

Lakers fan much?

No, it is a bad trade. You're giving up a David Lee which any coach could ask for. A good defender and rebounder. Nate Robinson is an exciting playing and contributes off the bench.

You could trade Marbury anytime just don't include Robinson and Lee. Maybe include Jerome James or Jared Jeffries perhaps in the package.

Horrible trade for the Knicks. Im glad it isnt happening because Nate Robinson and David Lee are one of the best players on the Knicks. Williams would help out the Knicks a little though but im still glad the trade will not happen.

Bad trade. First Houston belongs to Tracy and Yao, they are super stars there so why leave? Additionally with the addition of Franchise, with San Antonio, and Dallas, makes the state of Texas the 'Triangle of Doom'. For the Lakers, its almost equal, but Tracy's back is more than questionable as much as I dig my dude.

Is this a good trade for 2008-2009 season??

Kwame Brwon and Mike Miller for Kevin Garnet if the celtics lose tommorow. I mean Kwame has potential and Doc can fix tht up for the future for sure and a future is somthin KG doesnt have much left of in the NBA. I mean Kwame just needs to work on his mid and inside a little and he wuld b at about

20 PPG

10 RPG

4.5 APG

2.5 BPG

Anyone agree??

Is this a good trade for 2008-2009 season??college football

that would be an awsome trade and that would help them out alot

Is this a good trade for 2008-2009 season??nba.com ,nba teams

Nope

no way I would trade Garnett if I'm the Celts

It would take away their inside scoring, and DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

all they really would be getting is a shooter, and they have that in R.Allen
Honestly, I don't think Kwame has much potential. It'snot like he hasn't gotten the playing time, he just isn't that good. Whether it be a talent issue or his work ethic etc.

Besides you'd have to trade more than those two to get Garnett..
THIS IS A HORRIBLE TRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CELTICS WOULD BE GETTING RIPPED OFF BIG TIME. KWAME BROWN IS SOOOOOOO WEAK!!!!!! GARNET IS WAY BETTER THAN THOSE TWO PUT TOGETHER!!!! this is a bad trade
LMAO Kwame had potential three years ago
its ok but i think it would be better if they kept KG.

Ray Allen and Paul Pierce and James Posey are there three point shooters so you dont really need Mike Miller

Kwame well i see where your goin with the age difference between Him and KG but it wont really help the team that much defensively
That's ridiculous. Why would KG want to leave the 66 win Celtics for a lottery team??? And why would Boston want to part ways with one of the best big man in the NBA for one of the worst big man in the NBA?? That's an insane idea you got there. Maybe you just thought about it cuz you're a Memphis fan desperate for them to win.

And Kwame Brown will never be even close to that kind of player you are predicting he would be.

Oh and by the way, Celtics won't lose to the Hawks.
Sorry. I'm a laker fan and have been watching Kwame Brown the last three years continuely fumble passes and brick... yes BRICK layup attempts. which is really disheartening as he shouldnt be laying anything up. he should be throwing it down. So unless Kwame has improve significantly since being dealt to memphis. 20 ppg is out of your f**king mind crazy. --- not directed at you. directed at the idea of 20 ppg from Brown...

On the other hand if Boston wanted a strictly Defensive minded Center/PF who will give em around two blocks and 10 rebounds a night. Kwame would be a fit.

But thats basically what you'd get from KG til he's 40. but i think mike miller in boston would be a good fit.

Also isnt memphis rebuilding from scratch. that'd be kinda hard to do with Garnett's fat contract.
no way mike miller is ok but not even close to KG and kwame brown there is a reason the lakers gave him up for gasol who isnt even as good as KG who they couldve had to so no. the only way that happens is if memphis throws in mike conley and KG has a no trade clause and he doesnt want to leave

I don't think AK-47 will be enough to make Kobe happy. I mean he only averaged 8 points a game, odom had 16 and nine boards.
i doubt that would happen
i don't think they will want to trade kiroliko for odom that have injury trouble
you got jiped
No here the trade they need to make.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tr...

I don't know why you think the trades on the trade machine would work all they go off of is if it would work out financially. It doesn't take in consideration the human factor like if a player is a franchise player or other things.
no way no how
Naw I dont think the trade will happen
no utah's not gonna trade kirelinko
what the lakers need is someone that will help kobe on the scoring load and AK-47 is not much of a scorer. This trade won't appease kobe and it does'nt even improve the lakers to a contender. The best trade that the lakers should do is to get KG or JO. And please someone tell mitch and the buss that bynum is not going to be a superstar or even became half of what shaq is capable of. They should have trade him for Kidd when they had the chance. From what i heard the trade with the pacers for JO did'nt push through because LA does'nt want to part with bynum. Common guys, JO would give kobe the help his been asking for.
thats a rip off for utah, im telling you, lakers are screwed
cant see it happening b/c tha Lakers get a guy who can play D but they lose a 15+ pts, 5+ rebs/game guy..a year ago i could see it, but not now..Kirilenko fell off this season
nah dont think so
It doesn't make any team better. Many and I mean many Lakers fans have started to get attach to Odem.

Don't like it and I'll bet more my whole house it won't happen.
DOESN'T DO ANYTHING FOR EITHER TEAM REALLY. MAYBE A CHANGE OF SCENERY WOULD HELP KIRELINKO AND ODOM, BUT REALLY DOESN'T IMPROVE EITHER TEAM.
wow lakers give up crap, for worse crap.

If Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom aren't even enough to get Garnett why would it let them get Garnett and McCants because Theo Ratliff is even worse than Kwame Brown and Celtics only have to give away Theo Ratliff to get Kwame Brown and Craig Smith, I think that just Kwame Brown for Theo Ratliff is not even close, why is boston included if they do nothin and get nothin really i say that Lakers would be the best after this trade if it actually happened because all they get rid of is Odom and Brown so I think this would be there lineup.....................................

C Andrew Bynum (Next All-Star in the NBA)

PF Kevin Garnett

SF Luke Walton or Maurice Evans

SG Kobe Bryant

PG Smush Parker or Jordan Farmar

Who ever coach Phil Jackson decides at Point Guard but how come coach don't like Bynum he could be the next Amare Stoudemire or Shawn Marion if you let hime start at least 2 seasons and then he can develop his rebounding and scoring/passing so I can't wait to see all the trades that will happen this offseason one of the best in NBA History!
trade anybody but don't trade Shawn
no, odom is not worth KG and kwame brown sucks. you must be a lakers fan....desperate.

This seems like a decent team. I think the Pacers are a great player in O'neal and not quite getting quite enough and I think that Peja going out and Odom coming in is a little lopsided but its not too bad. I think most teams come out okay in this trade. I think it would be pretty difficult to pull off a four team trade for numerous reasons but for all intents and purposes I think it looks okay and could work.

This is almost feasible actually.. I mean, the Lakers do get back quite a bit for two players especially since one of them is Kobe who has no loyalty and will always whine for more.

DON'T SEND KOBE TO CHICAGO!!! HE'LL SCREW EVERYTHING UP FOR THEM!!!

(I am not a Bulls fan actually and it would give me one less worry to see the Bulls fall flat on their faces but have Kobe in the same conference doesn't sound fun. plus Kobe has always had a trouble against some of the eastern powerhouses Detroit in particular.)
Yeah, it's not bad and all teams almost get equal compensation.
i think so it an ok trade
The hornets, lakers, and pacers are getting good out of the trade but for the bulls? Kobe is definatly not worth getting rid of Gordon, Wallace, and Thomas. But if this trade does go through the lakers are going to have and even better team not just a hey im kobe give me the ball and ill score by myself.

Kobe is a terrible team player and not worth getting all the drama that comes along with him.

The Evolution of the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant: (article from sports writer)?

One of the first feature pieces I ever wrote for the Washington Post was about Kobe Bryant. It was November 2002, the Lakers were coming off their third straight NBA title, and No. 8 – as he was then – was starting to emerge from the shadow of Shaquille O’Neal.

As part of the story, I asked Phil Jackson to compare Kobe with Michael Jordan. The fact that I posed the question gives you a sense of how I – and many other people – perceived Bryant at the time.

Phil, as one might have expected, offered what I saw as a politic response:

“A lot of people throw . . . Michael’s cape on Kobe, and it’s not fair to either one of those players,” said Jackson. “Yet they both have this competitive standard that everybody can recognize, a competitive level they carry themselves with on the court.”

The comparisons might not have been fair. Still, in 2002, people were constantly making them, and to a large degree — and I was not the only one who held this viewpoint — Kobe was the cause.

As I wrote back then (and I promise to stop quoting myself after this):

Since leaping from high school to the NBA, he has been routinely hyped and rejected as the second coming of Michael Jordan. For much of that time, Bryant has not only tried to live up to the comparison, but perhaps, encouraged it.

The fact is that whether by coincidence or conscious effort, the similarities between Bryant and Jordan’s mannerisms are unmistakable. The steady, loping strides as Bryant drives the ball upcourt, tongue wagging; the backward strut, head nodding, after he buries a jump shot; even the timbre and rhythm of his speech when he addresses the media are all vintage Jordan. And with Bryant’s new bulk, the physical similarity between the two — they are the same height and virtually the same weight — is impossible to ignore.

At age 24, Kobe was remarkably like Jordan — and somehow, not him, akin to a musical prodigy, capable of playing any sonata the seasoned concert pianist could, yet somehow, lacking the intangible quality that distinguished the genius from the flawless imitator.

At the same time, there seemed to be no “real” Kobe Bryant. He said all the right things in ads for shoes and Sprite, yet even in one-on-one interviews, one never got the sense of him, of a voice and personality that made you feel, “Ah, now I’m speaking to Kobe Bryant.” It felt more like you were talking to someone “playing” the next Jordan. Something was missing, and there was little to suggest that it would ever be found.

Six years later, things are radically different.

THE BEGINNING

To me, Kobe’s evolution from star mimic to true superstar was catalyzed, strangely enough, by his arrest on rape charges in Colorado prior to the start of the 2003 season.

The distasteful nature of that event notwithstanding, it had the effect of obliterating the contrived, plastic, clean-cut image of Kobe that existed at the time. Every major sponsor either dropped or suspended their deals with him. Overnight, he went from NBA poster child to persona non grata, a basketball savant assailed by the public on all sides for his conduct off the court.

The notion of being the next Michael Jordan — and granted, I’m speculating here — was likely far from the forefront of his mind.

In a 2003 column entitled, “Is Bryant’s best behind him with the burden he carries?” USA Today columnist Jon Saraceno wrote:

This season will test Bryant like no year, or defender, has. The mounting anxiety on him will make every night feel like a seventh game. Maybe Bryant thinks resuming his occupation will be good therapy, but I wonder what will happen before, during and after games.

I imagine that even posh four-star hotels can feel like prisons to a celebrity under siege. Bryant may never serve a day behind bars, but that doesn’t mean he won’t understand what Alcatraz was like, even if his solitary confinement includes room service and a cluster of bodyguards.

And can you imagine the catcalls from fans on the road in places such as Sacramento, Philadelphia, Boston, Dallas and, of course, Denver?

“Playing the game of basketball is not difficult for me,” he said. “Going through what we’ve been going through is difficult.”

The column concluded with this sentiment:

Regardless of the outcome, I can’t help but wonder if this young man, whose life once seemed so idyllic, can ever be the same player or person.

I don’t know.

I’m not sure Kobe does, either.

Saraceno was right. The Kobe Bryant we knew — or didn’t really know — was gone, and the question was, who would replace him?

A WINNER IN PURGATORY

The 2003 season saw the end of the Kobe-Shaq era, and what followed it was a period that, it seems to me, perfectly reflected Kobe Bryant, the player. Ostensibly, he was the new leader of the team, yet it quickly became clear that No. 8 had no real experience leading a team. His impressions of leadership reminded me of his impressions of MJ — he said all of the right things, but you still found yourself thinking that he’d rather be playing with two replicas of himself than four other players. His first season, Los Angeles finished 34-48. The following two, the Lakers exited the playoffs in the first round.

Interestingly enough, as these years were passing — and I have to admit, I hadn’t thought about this until now — Kobe seemed less and less like he was affecting Michael Jordan. All of the physical tics seemed to vanish.

Instead, as Los Angeles turned in multiple subpar seasons, Bryant began to cultivate a profound disdain for losing possibly unmatched by any basketball player in the world, past or present — with the exception, ironically, of Michael Jordan — and in time, that disdain transformed into anger.

In the summer of 2007, that anger boiled over, and Kobe Bryant demanded a trade. Not long after, in a parking lot in Orange County, he unleashed a profanity-laden tirade against teammate Andrew Bynum.

My initial response to both acts was disbelief. How could he lash out like this against a franchise that stood by him unhesitatingly through his entire ordeal in Colorado? On the one hand, it seemed like the height of betrayal, and to a degree, it still does.

Looking at it another way, however, these seem like the first genuine acts — misguided, though they were — of an emerging leader. And what we were hearing, for the very first time, was Kobe Bryant finding his voice.

It was impossible to know that at the time, but in the months that have passed, Kobe Bryant’s actions have proven exactly what kind of player, teammate and employee he truly is. His effort has been unparalleled — he is currently playing with a dislocated finger, and will be for the duration of the season, yet he continues to be unstoppable at both ends of the floor. While he was wrong about Bynum and his teammates — before his injury, Bynum was playing phenomenally, and the quality of Los Angeles’ bench has been one of the stunning stories of the 2007-08 season — one could convincingly argue that Kobe’s trade demand and tirade were what shook up the Lakers franchise.

A LEADER IS BORN

The popular take in early MVP conversations is that Kobe deserves it. I agree, but not for the reasons cited by columnists like the Los Angeles Times Bill Plaschke. To Plaschke, Bryant is finally making his teammates better, and thus, should get the award:

He doesn’t scream at his teammates so much anymore. He doesn’t ignore them during moments of frustration anymore.

He has helped turn Sasha Vujacic into a weapon, and Farmar into a pest, and, man, considering he once wanted the guy traded, he has been huge in the development of Andrew Bynum.

In Plaschke’s column, Lakers’ coach Phil Jackson agrees:

“You can see the emphasis in Kobe’s game to get other people involved and to make the rest of his teammates better,” Jackson said.

Earlier in the year, I argued that the entire notion of “making one’s teammates better,” at least as far as it’s commonly meant, is nonsense, the NBA equivalent to giving an NFL quarterback too much of the credit or blame for winning or losing. Yes, Kobe’s teammates are better, but it’s not because he’s suddenly passing them the ball where he wasn’t before. A season ago, he gave them the ball plenty.

They’re better because for the first time, they’re matching his effort.

They’re better because Sasha Vujacic is making open threes where he missed them all last year. They’re better because Jordan Farmar isn’t a rookie, is stronger, and has a much better sense of the pro game. They’re better because Derek Fisher is giving Los Angeles and Kobe trustworthy veteran leadership. They’re better because Lamar Odom is healthy and thriving, now that he’s free of the pressure of being the second scoring option. They’re better because Andrew Bynum is a freak of nature. And they’re better because, in what I refer to as the Immaculate Transaction, they somehow picked up Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies for nothing.

Kobe’s teammates are playing better, and because of that, he has more confidence in them, and looks for them more often. In turn, Kobe’s growing confidence emboldens his teammates to play even better. It’s a two-way street. If you don’t believe me, watch what Kobe does on a night when no one else can find their shot (which is now unlikely, given the Lakers’ multitude of weapons). I guarantee you that the man who makes his teammates better would still shoot 40 times.

If you want to credit Kobe Bryant with something, credit him with putting his reputation on the line to light the proverbial inferno under the entire Lakers franchise. Credit him for continuing to push everyone, from players to coaches to management to ownership, to demand nothing less than what he demands of himself — every last ounce of effort in the pursuit of a championship.

And that, to me, is what ultimately makes him worthy of an MVP award. It’s also a clear indication that Kobe Bryant, a leader in his own right, has arrived.

IN RETROSPECT

Thinking back to that 2002 feature I wrote, I think that I — just like Phil Jackson suggested — had unfair expectations of Kobe Bryant. Yes, he did seem like more of a Jordan emulator than the superstar he has involved into; then again, he was 24 years old. Most 24 year-olds, whether or not they have superhuman athletic or intellectual or musical abilites, have an underwhelming sense of who they are. We, as sportswriters and fans, are applying the same grossly critical eye to LeBron James now. In a decade, we’ll all look back and laugh.

To me, Kobe Bryant circa 2008 is transforming into every bit the player and leader that Michael Jordan was, and I think this season will bear that out.

Who is the best of all-time? Does it matter, really? In his prime, MJ left you in awe every time he stepped onto the floor. Kobe is the same way now.

A jazz musician once told me that he began his career imitating a hero because, “It’s better to sound like somebody than nobody.”

In time, of course, that musician — like Kobe Bryant — became a somebody as well

The Evolution of the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant: (article from sports writer)?nba live 2005

Great article, shows the evolution of not only the player but of the media and fan bases perception of them. When they are young we want and expect too much from them, then when they grow up a little we look back and realize at some point the greatness happened. Let's stop comparing players versus players and saying one has to "suck" because he is not perceived as good as the other, but sit back and enjoy while they still have time left on the court.

The Evolution of the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant: (article from sports writer)?nba update ,nba teams

great article! i agree completely, with kobe (30y.old next season) we tend to appreciate him more. we now expect him to sit back a little bit more, get his team-mates involved and then come in to do what he does best, make the big shots.

Kobe is now his own person, at the moment looks like an athlete at the point in his career where he says ' i aint going nowhere now, so lets do the best we can do and win more' he really wants that 4th ring. it will definitely be the first ring he won as the leader all by himself. 1 that he will fully deserve, and unfairly get all the credit for, just like how a quarterback does in the nfl. i just want to see him win that ring, it will be the best thing to happen this season..
Kobe would have to win 6 more rings to have 5 more rings then Shaq, so either the Lakers have to win 6 or Kobe has to win 1 more with another team.
How the hell did you post so many word, I thought it only worked to 1000words or something!!!

I don't have time to read this so, to sum up: Kobe is the best, LeBron always second, L.A wiin 5 more championships, Kobe 5 more rings than Shaq!

I agree with Michael H on 1 point they should trade Curry and but find a better big man or player that can actually shoot. Lee is a good player and dose shoot over .500FG% but who do u think would win 1-on-1 and producing more stats for your team........Curry crappy behind would. Lee needs more work (good player tho off the bench)
Who the hell is Roberto Duenas?
of course they should
Who would want him? You can't trade a player that nobody wants.
They could... except Isaiah doesn't want to leave over the next 25 years (until he wins a championship he says, and I guess Dolan believes he can) and Isaiah refuses to let go of Curry. If he won't trade Curry for Kobe why would he do it for Jason Williams? It's not a horrible idea, but still, I think Lee would be more comfortable in a PF position. Big thing is just that they need to learn how to pass, that's how you share the paint, not just by standing in it, and the problem lies in that, Randolph and Curry can't pass (see http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/nba/news... The problem with Randolph and Curry is the problem that I thought there would be after the trade, they have two of the same players, big, slow players that take up space in the paint, don't pass, don't play defense, and demand a lot of touches, they head up as #'s 1 and 2 in Yahoo! Sport's Matt Buser's Eddy Curry line for a reason. It's overly redundant, and redundancy in bad way just multiplies.
ummm no, Lee is not on Currys level. What you guys really need is to fire Isiah because he is just a plague wherever he goes, Marbury too. Once you guys get rid of those two people and get some cohesion under a new coaching system, I think you guys will be a playoff contender again.
no, they should trade others to compliment curry. It is hard to find a good post man these days, so trading lee will def get you some good wing player to go along w/ curry.

Go to half.com, ebay.com and amazon.com. You'll find the best prices there. If you go to a video game store, you'll get an immediate trade but a lousy deal.
around 100 bucks at game stop.160 or more if you see them online...
It depends where you live and what store you are trading them in. You probably will get a fair bit for them but don't expect too much. You probably won't get much for the Wii game, but the 360 games may give you the best price.

I'm guessing a total of around $200, but I'm not making any promises and if they are in really bad condition they won't accept them at all. It's always worth a try.

Should New York trade Curry so that Randolph and Lee can share the paint together?

Should New York trade Curry so that Randolph and Lee can share the paint together?nba 2k7 ,nba teams

3 good team trade?nba video ,nba teams

that trade is stupid
nope dont like it
the lakers and jazz get ripped off
that isnt a very good trade no offense
Yeah like the Utah Jazz are going to dismantle their #3 seed team for a bunch of losers... lmao...
the lakers don't get enough in that deal
Why would the Jazz give up two of their top three players just to get Odom and two mediocre player? Memphis only have to give up Mike Miller and two bench players to get Boozer and Co? Not possible. Not to mention the fact that Lakers are getting the better end of the deal, until you look at the contracts that they're taking in.
I don't like that trade!!!!!!!!!!
